Best c(gl)amping spots in the UAE part 6 | Jebel Hafit

I stumbled upon Jebel Hafit Desert Park during my search for camping and glamping options in the UAE, and I was thrilled! Nestled amidst the majestic Jebel Hafit Mountain, Abu Dhabi’s tallest peak, this UNESCO-recognized gem is a pivotal part of the Al Ain World Heritage Site.

At Jebel Hafit Desert Park, you’re spoiled for choice. Whether you’re keen on pitching your own tent or seeking a more luxurious experience, the options abound. We opted for the convenience of a well-appointed air-conditioned room, complete with a cozy bed, a quaint majlis, and an outdoor space equipped with a fire pit, which was a rare choice for us, given how adventurous we usually are and love sleeping in tents.

For those craving a taste of glamping, look no further than Pura Eco Retreat. Offering various room types to suit every preference and budget, from the rustic Traditional Heritage Tents to the avant-garde Skylight Domes and Sky Bubbles, this retreat promises indulgence at every turn. With a limited number of rooms in each area, you’re assured of an exclusive and intimate experience, far from the madding crowds.

Yearning for a tranquil getaway? Pura Eco Retreat delivers. Embrace the serenity of the surroundings as you unwind amidst nature’s embrace. Whether you choose to bring your camping essentials or procure them from the retreat, the choice is yours. Savor delectable delights at the open-air restaurant or relish a barbecue feast under the star-studded sky.

Navigating to Pura Eco Retreat is a breeze, with no need for a 4×4 vehicle. Upon arrival at the reception area, indulge in a culinary delight or partake in an array of activities, from hiking to camel riding and adrenaline-pumping dune bashing tours. From there, a brief 15-minute drive in a 4×4 vehicle (either your own or one provided by the resort) transports you deep into the valley, where your glamping adventure awaits.
