Best camping spots in the UAE part 7 | Umm Al Quwain

This one is for pet owners! I came upon these two camping spots in Umm Al Quwain while looking for options to camp with our dog.

The first one is a hidden gem managed by Ollie Daze which offers one of the few pet-friendly options in the UAE. For just AED 250 per person, indulge in a beachside camping experience unlike any other. On the private beach of Umm Al Quwain Beach Hotel, Ollie Daze runs a beach club with a licensed beach bar, DJ and music. Those wanting to spend the night after the party can choose to either stay at the hotel or camp overnight on the beach itself The good part – you have access to clean toilets and showers, beach games and activities such as paddle boarding, jet skis, etc. You also have recliners, towels, etc that are provided. There’s also a swimming pool located in the hotel which you can access for free.

The best part – while there are options for beverages and food on site, you can choose to bring your own without any extra charges! So, bring your meats to barbecue or your own drinks if you wish to enjoy an authentic camping experience with the excitement of a party atmosphere and adventure sports. You can either choose to bring your own tent(s) or borrow one from them for an additional charge of AED 100. The beach area as well as the hotel itself is pet-friendly, which means your fur baby gets to enjoy the experience with you. While staying in the hotel also is a good idea, for the ultimate adventure, pitching a tent on the beachfront promises an unforgettable experience.

Keep in mind that Ollie Daze operates this exclusive party-and-camping facility during the summer months only, so it’s wise to confirm availability before planning your trip. Thanks to its restricted access, you’ll relish in a more intimate setting with fewer crowds.

At just AED 250 per person, this experience is a steal, complete with a complimentary drink per person. Indulge further in delectable snacks and beverages at the beach bar or explore dining options at the hotel’s poolside or lobby restaurants.

The second one is at Kite Beach Center, Umm Al Quwain. Yet another fantastic beachside experience whether you choose to spend only the day or stay for the night, Kite Beach Center is your typical Instagrammable location, complete with an outdoor gym, swings and hammocks in the middle of the sea, a Bali-themed cafe and ample private relaxation areas which can be booked for an additional charge. Camping overnight in your own tent costs about AED 150 plus the beach entrance charges which are between AED 45 – AED 75 depending on the day of the week. If you wish to use their pre configured tent set up, then that costs around AED 250. The only catch here is that you’re not allowed to bring your own food & beverages. You’re obliged to buy food from the onsite cafe restaurant and alcohol is a strict NO on the premises.

Umm Al Quwain is one of the most underrated emirates, in my opinion. The beaches and the ocean itself is much prettier here than most other emirates. With more and more beachside cafes, restaurants, clubs and camping areas popping up, UAQ has managed to become one of my favourite places for a weekend getaway from Dubai. For those looking to embark on a pet-friendly escapade like never before and create lasting memories, Umm Al Quwain is picturesque haven!
