Jacobs Inn Dublin is centrally located in Dublin 1 near Connolly train station in Dublin 1, perfect to catch the LUAS tram or DART train for day trips to Howth and Dalkey.

As soon as you enter, Jacobs Inn is a trendy interior with funky artwork all over the walls. The staff were super-friendly and helped with a smooth check-in.

The dorms are pod-style making them feel more private. Most of all, the beds were comfortable with heavy duvets. They have 4-pod up to 12-pod dorms, with lockers big enough for cabin and large bags, and en-suite shower and bathroom. For those wanting their own room, they offer deluxe double, twin, and family rooms.

The modern, vibrant bar is a cool space that is great to work and socialise from. Most evenings are thriving especially as the live music begins supporting local artists. Jacobs Inn offers tickets for Dublin’s best pub crawl or a free walking tour at 11 am each day with local guides.

The bar is also used to serve continental breakfast along with bottomless porridge with lots of tasty toppings. You can order other items such as bacon rolls from the menu if porridge isn’t your jam!

Apart from the great price at Jacobs Inn Dublin, the drawcard was their sustainability value. The hostel does not use single-use plastic, has water-efficient systems, 100% renewable electricity, and more!

Abbey Court is located just across the Liffey from Temple Bar and next to O’Connell St. From here, you can easily visit most of Dublin’s attractions on foot. Despite the central location, guests can expect a quiet and restful stay.

There’s a movie room, a hammock room, and a huge kitchen at Abbey Court Hostel. A pool table and a Wii may be found in the game room. Previous guests describe this hostel as ‘excellent value for money,’ owing to its reasonable rates, convenient location, and services.

Garden Lane Hostel is located in the Liberties area of Dublin 8, close to the world-famous Guinness Storehouse and a short walk from the bustling city centre.

Sleek and clean rooms range from twin bunk, 4-bed, 6-bed, and 8-bed, both female and mixed. A roomy cage is supplied under your bed to keep your gear safe.

This is a well-designed, clean, no-frills hostel as there is no café on site. The kitchen facilities are fab with all the mod-cons and a simple breakfast is included such as tea, coffee, muesli, bread, and jam.  The shared space has a TV and a relaxing vibe. If you get want to take in the fresh air of Dublin, the terrace is a great spot to sit.

Garden Lane has thankfully banned single-use plastic and has a recycling system in place.

All-in-all, Garden Lane Backpackers Hostel is a budget hostel in Dublin that comes highly recommended by visitors.

Ashfield House gets top marks for the central location in Dublin. This hostel is south of O’Connell Bridge, so it’s only a short walk from the infamous Temple Bar and Trinity College.

Ashfield House offers a range of budget accommodations with en-suite facilities and secure keycard access: 4-bed and 6-bed dorms, and private twin and family rooms. Clean rooms with comfortable beds, however, the dorms can be a little short on space.

A light continental breakfast is included in the price consisting of cereal, pastries, toast, hard-boiled eggs, juice, tea and coffee. There is a nightly pub crawl but the hostel itself is not a party hostel – 11 pm quiet time rules are in place.

If you’re looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay during your travels to Dublin, look no further than The Hendrick Smithfield Hotel. 

From the spacious and well-appointed rooms to the attentive and professional staff, this hotel leaves nothing to be desired. This is where I stayed when I was on my 2 week Europe trip.

The Hendrick Smithfield Hotel is located in the city centre of Dublin, just a few steps away from popular attractions like Trinity College and Temple Bar. Whether you’re in town for business or pleasure, you’ll appreciate being so centrally located. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, so you won’t have to go far to find something to eat or do.

The rooms at The Hendrick Smithfield Hotel are clean and they have sustainable amenities inside. Mine had a queen size bed with plush pillows and linens, a flat-screen TV, a desk, and a beautiful bathroom. 

There is a lovely lobby at the Hendrick Smithfield Hotel. You can order drinks and finger food at the restaurant – sit down with a book or get some work done! 

There’s also an impressive selection of hot breakfast items if you’re looking for something heartier. And of course, no Irish breakfast is complete without a pot of tea!

An added bonus is the sustainability policies at The Hendrick Smithfield. The building has won LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Gold certification for its’ innovative design to help preserve the environment and operate with low utility costs.

I had an incredible stay at The Hendrick Smithfield Hotel during my recent trip to Dublin and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mid-budget property near the city’s attractions.

Love that the Temple Bar Inn caters to all kinds of travellers. They have single rooms helping solo travellers and they also supply baby cribs to help families with their stay. The rooms are well-designed and elegant with smart TVs and premium toiletries.

The lobby is a treat when you enter, it’s quirky and contemporary. Take advantage to the relaxing terrace and shared lounge with tea or coffee. Experience the creativity of Irish and Italian dishes in the on-site restaurant, and sample the impressive cocktail list. The hot and cold buffet breakfast will not disappoint either!

Temple Bar Inn has made sustainable policies in the hotel with the water efficient systems, LED lights, ban of single-use plastics and locally sourced food amongst other things.

There is no compromise on location either. Point A Dublin is situated on Parnell Street near O’Connell Street with many shops, bars and restaurants right on your doorstep, and only a short walk from many popular attractions in Dublin.

Point A Dublin rooms features en-suite bathroom with shower, TV, kettle, fluffy towels, comfortable beds and soft bedding, and a delicious continental or buffet breakfast.

The hotel is a welcoming space for all travellers and digital nomads from the helpful staff, elegant guest lounge, Moore Lane café, and many workspaces with strong WiFi.
